A shuttle bus service offers regular bus rides from the Airport Raffaello Sanzio (Falconara) to Ancona downtown. When you arrive at Ancona airport, you will find it at the exit on the right. The bus makes stops at Ancona Central Station (“Stazione Centrale di Ancona”), and in Piazza Cavour (close to the Summer School and Conference venue).
The Bayes By the Sea Summer School and Conference will take place at the Faculty of Economics, rooms: B1 (Keynote Talks) and T27, T13 (contributed talks).
The Faculty of Economics is situated in Ancona downtown, hosted by the historical edifice: “Caserma Villa Rey”, which is very close to Piazza Cavour.
Piazza Cavour is the main square of Ancona and functions as a hub for the urban and regional public transport.
Almost all city buses, and buses to the coast (Sirolo, Numana, Ancona), as well as the shuttle bus to the airport have a stop in Piazza Cavour.
The Conference Dinner and Closing Lecture will take place in another historical site of Ancona, Il Passetto.
It is on the opposite coast of the Ancona Port and enjoys a wonderful sunset. It can be reached on foot from the Faculty of Economics walking along “Il Viale” (Viale della Vittoria).
Thanks to its special geography, Ancona enjoys both sunrise and sunset on the sea, bays-wise.
With the bus tour on Monday and Thursday we will reach the Conero Coast and its picturesque villages of Sirolo, Numana, as well as the city of Loreto, rich of monuments and art by the most excellent masters of the Italian Renaissance.
